Business cards sketches



For my sketches I tried to keep the business card minimalistic and simple. I believe that the easier the card is to read the better the results of the card will be.

For the business cards I ceded to go with a basic, and simple design. I tried to make it most appealing to the eye by keeping the design simple. I believe that business cards should be simple in order to get their purpose across. The easier they are to read the more likely the person is to contacts the card owner. I wanted to make the cards colorful because the logos themselves were colorful and happy. Overall I am pretty pleased with how the project turned out and it wasn't too complicated to complete.

          For this assignment I was really inspired by my daily life in this current situation of living through the corona virus. Now you might be slightly confused and asking yourself, what does she mean by this? Well, when I say I was inspired by my current daily life I mean multiple things influenced this project. The first being that I have been almost feeling like a robot lately, living through the same routine, waking up, eating, doing homework, showering, and then rinse and repeat. Living through this pandemic, has made me feel I am living the same day over and over again so I thought "what a good way to represent this feeling."And decided to photoshop myself into a robot. So then I thought what would I look like as a robot? And my mind immediately came to the terminator movies. I basically used the terminator as a basis for my project. For this project, I was having a really hard time deciding what scene I should photoshop myself into. Looking back on it I realized that I was inspired by myself, believe it or not. One day during this quarantine, I got super bored and decided to do my makeup, I started to experiment with "Hollywood Glam" looks and thought, that I should photoshop myself into a Hollywood scene... I was very conflicted on what photo I should use so I googled famous Hollywood photos and the famous 2014 oscars Ellen Degeneres photo popped up. I knew that was the one so I put on my makeup, and Hollywood inspired dress and got to work. I think my favorite part of how my project turned out is the fact that I had the ability to "be in a picture" with so many famous people.
