Adobe illustrator videos

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OB7rVNOimAg&t=208s I liked this video because it really helped me learn about how to properly use the text functions in adobe illustrator. I watched this video while doing my calligramme assignment, and I found it very helpful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GzumUieDPY&t=1s I liked this video the most out of all of the videos I watched. I say this because this video is short and sweet, and to the point. It is very easy to understand and gives a brief overview on how to use some go the most important tools in illustrator. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqjZR_v37K8 I liked this video because it went into slightly more detail than the brief video mentioned above. It was still very easy to understand and it gave me a deeper understanding of all of the functions adobe Illustrator has to offer.

Calligram

For this assignment I decided to do a calligram of a giraffe. Originally I was going to do binoculars with the lyrics of a queen song within the shape. Then, right when I was about to start the project in my room, it hit me, I should do a giraffe! The image above was the image I used to base off of in order to create my calligram. I chose to do a giraffe because giraffes are my favorite animal of all time. To me, giraffes are cute, sweet, and funny looking animals so I think that's why I love them so much. When I was young I would go to the zoo and beg my parents to take me to the giraffe feeding location, and every time we would go I would be so excited to see and feed the animals. In my calligram I chose to use words that reminded me of a giraffe. I used words like happy, hungry, lovely, tall and several other words to fill in the giraffes body. I tried to use different fonts and sizes in order to differentiate specific parts of the animal. I th...

Canvas experiment

I just want to give a disclaimer; this project was very difficult for me. I say this because, not only was this my first time ever using dreamweaver, it also was my first time using a computer to create any type of image. I spent over 15 hours on this project and by the end of it, I kinda had enough of it. The inspiration for this project came when I was sitting in class (kinda freaking out over what exactly I should do this project on) and out of no where, the Frosty the snowman theme song came into my mind. And then it hit me... I should create my own version of Frosty the snowman. I am aware that it is a very primitive and basic design, it truly was hard for me to achieve this end result. I definitely could have added some more things to the background or other shapes into the picture. I found it very strenuous for me to understand how the actual program worked so naturally I had hard time actually adding shapes and what not. However, even though I probably could have added som...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gTw2EDkaDQ For this video I really enjoyed how simple it was. The video maker truly made it easy fro me to understand these concepts. He was also pretty thorough with his explanations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWPMSSsVdPk Similarly to the video listed above, I also liked how simple it was. The video maker made the concepts easy to understand, with only a short amount of time needed to watch the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EO6OkltgudE This video was also very easy to understand. I especially liked how short it was and hoe the video maker used screen recording on an apple product, so I could truly understand all of the concepts. This one was by far my favorite.

First Post!: Introduction

Hello, my name is Jacoby Sherman. I am a sophomore here at The University of Tampa, and I am an advertising and public relations major with a business administration minor. I am originally from a small town in upstate New York called Woodbury, which is about an hour north from New York City. Since I am from New York I tend to have that classic outgoing, friendly, and loud New York attitude. I am huge animal lover, and I enjoy cooking, hammocking, going to the beach, and spending time with my friends and family. I am the marketing director of the Chabad, a jewish organization on campus, and I am a part of the hammocking club. I am a huge people person, so naturally I love to talk and to get to know people. That is why I decided to become an advertising and public relations major, to use my people skills for the better. Also, ever since I was little I had a huge interest in art. My love of art carried me through out all of my schooling, and as a senior in high school I became an art majo...
